A Play-reading of King Lear in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association

An unprecedented play reading of King Lear in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association
will be performed at 3p.m.on Sunday 22nd September at the St James Theatre, London 
and at 3p.m. on Sunday 29th September at the Old Vic. 

The reading is directed by Jonathan Miller and the cast includes Joss Ackland (Lear), Tony Robinson, 
Greta Scacchi, John Nettles, Jack Tarlton, Tony Britton, Barry Rutter, Vernon Dubtcheff,
Robert Young, Shaun Dooley, Joss Vantyler, Honeysuckle Weeks, Michael York and Clare Higgins.

This production sees Joss Ackland returning to the Old Vic 60 years after joining the Old Vic Company.
It is hoped to raise as much as £50,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association for research, equipment and home care.
